Another day, another dollar

Well perhaps not dollars, but Wes and I have spent the last hour or so counting up our change box, only to find that we ave just over £100 in there. £100.52 to be precise. We are going to put it towards a new fridge, as the current one is nowhere big enough to house even Wes' food, let alone a family of 4 (well four in February)

We have had quite a lazy day today, waking at the amazing hour of 9:30 in the morning. I would have been awake earlier if I hadn't been abruptly woken from my sleep by the next door neighbour singing Bruno Mars at the top of her voice and the telly on full place. It wouldn't have been so bad if she was able to sing a note in tune! What surprised me the most was that there were other friends there in the house with her, but she was the only one singing. I can just imagine their faces.

After finally getting out of bed at 12:00, due to setting the world to rights, we tucked into a spicy scrambled egg and toast and then headed out to my old gallery to empty the place out. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as first thought and Little B Bee had provided me with enough energy today to actually pass myself as a normal human being for once!

I've been trying to expand my cookery knowledge of late, as it is pretty non-existant. So today I tackled a  Tom Yum soup which is based on coconut milk and chicken stock. Wes seemed to like it as he had two portions, but then the boy can eat a horse raw if it came to it, so he probably isn't the best judge. Also I'm thinking he'd be a little biased! We challenged each other to a bite of the very spicy chillies that were in the soup...it nearly bloody killed me, but asbestos mouth Wes took it all in his stride.
